Gaganjeet Bhullar clinches DLF Masters title

Gaganjeet BhullarGaganjeet Bhullar remained unbeaten on his fifth successive Indian tour as he won the title of DLF Masters golf tournament at the DLF Golf and Country Club on Sunday. The defending champion Jyoti Randhawa settled with tied-fourth place.

Bhullar carded 68 in the final round to finish at the top position with a total of 15 under 273 in the tournament. Anirban Lahiri scored 66 in the final round to place himself at the second place with a final score of 10- under 278.

The 22 years old Bhullar scored birdies on the 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, 12th, 17th and 18th holes apart from eagle on the sixth hole. Bhullar was also leading on the final day of the last tour but he failed to hold his lead and Jyoti had won the title. But this time, Bhullar held his nerves to win the title and equaled Jyoti’s record of five PGTI tour titles.

Bhullar won prize money of Rs 12,93,200 with the title and he reached the top of PGTI Order of Merit.

Bhullar, overwhelmed by this win said that he could not believe that he has won the title after leaving behind his senior pro Jyoti.
