Fruit And Veg Diet Can Slash Cancer Risk
A new research disclosed that consuming a wide range of fruit and veggies on a daily basis can lessen the chance of having lung cancer by a quarter.
Tobacco users particularly can slash their possibility, but the diversity they consume is just as vital as the quantity.
Those having 8 or more different types of fruit and veggies can cut their possibilities of having epidermoid carcinoma of the lung by around 23%.
As per study compiled by 10 top cancer research centres across Europe, at least 8 types is key and better than consuming only four on a daily basis.
Researchers think that it may be possible to slash the likelihood by a further 4% for each novel type of fruit or vegetable added to the every day diet.
Maria Jose Sanchez Perez, the Spanish co-author of the study, said, "Aside from the amount consumed, a varied diet reduces the risk of developing this cancer - above all in smokers."
The results of the research are released in the Journal Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention.
