Framingham Fire Department’s fire-truck rolled over, firemen injured
Officials have informed that four Framingham, Mass., firemen were injured when their fire-truck rolled over before coming to rest on the lawn of a family home.
The Boston Herald reported on Sunday that Susan McArthur said, "It landed right in our front yard. We were in bed and all of a sudden it sounded like an explosion."
Framingham Fire Department officials said that the cause of Saturday's rollover is under investigation.
Framingham Fire Department Deputy Chief Kevin Burns said that around 7:30 a. m., Engine 7 which was returning from a call, rolled 360 degrees landing on its wheels about 30 feet from the McArthur house on Edgell Road, smashing its windshield, crushing the passenger cab, splintering a utility pole and squashing hedges.
This is not the first time for mishap in front of the McArthur home.
She further said, "There have been numerous accidents. It's a straightaway, so I'm not sure why. But this is the second or third time they're going to have to replace that pole."
It was further reported that the names of the injured firefighters were not released. They were taken to MetroWest Medical Center yesterday with minor injuries and released. (With Inputs from Agencies)
