Foxconn confirms disputes between employees at Zhengzhou factory in ChinaAccording to a Wall Street Journal (WSJ) report, it has been recently confirmed by Foxconn - the biggest component maker in the world; and the chief manufacturer of the iPhone 5 - that two disputes, involving its employees at a Chinese production plant, had taken place earlier this month.

As per the WSJ report, Taiwan-based Foxconn said in the confirmation of the disputes that the factory line workers and quality assurance personnel at its Zhengzhou factory were involved in a brawl on October 1 and October 2.

The Zhengzhou-factory disputes confirmed by Foxconn came close on the heels of a temporary suspension of production, which resulted from the hours-long riot - involving nearly 2,000 employees - at another China-based Foxconn plant, in Taiyuan, some time back.

The riot at the Taiyuan factory broke out on August 24, and was an upshot of an incidence in which a factory guard hit one of the workers. Nearly 40 persons were injured in the riot; and an undisclosed number of workers were arrested.

Meanwhile, about the disputes at the Zhengzhou factory, Foxconn said in a statement that requisite steps had been taken by the company to address the problem. Foxconn also said that the disputes did not lead to workplace stoppage in the Zhengzhou plant or at any other Foxconn facility; and added: "Production has continued on schedule."
