Former Olympic Champion Caitlyn Jenner will not be charged in fatal Car Crash

On Wednesday, Los Angeles prosecutors announced that retired American athlete Caitlyn Jenner will not be charged in fatal car crash in Malibu. In the crash earlier this year, an old woman was killed.

According to the prosecutors, there was not sufficient evidence to prove that Jenner's conduct was unreasonable. Documents regarding the case were provided by Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

Blair Berk, attorney of the former Olympic champion, said in a statement, "We believed from the start that a thorough and objective investigation would clear Caitlyn of any criminal wrongdoing. We are heartened the District Attorney has agreed that even a misdemeanor charge would be inappropriate".

During the cast earlier this year, sport-utility vehicle of Jenner, 65-year-old television personality, shoved car of 69-year-old Kim Howe who was killed in the fatal crash. A Toyota driver, Jessica Steindorff, was injured as her black Toyota Prius was also rear-ended by Jenner's vehicle. The accident left Jenner with some injurious.

The district attorney's office released summary of investigation which stated that Jenner's vehicle was below the speed limit, slower than victim's car. The investigation summary also reported that Jenner braked about 1.9 to 1.5 seconds before the collision.

As per the summary, the only possible violation against Jenner could be a violation of the basic speed law. Prosecutors said that there was also requirement of ordinary negligence. They said that they lacked evidence beyond a reasonable doubt.
