Ford India has recorded a four times increase in Figo sales in January 2011. In 2010 the company reported sales figures of Figo to reach 2,453 units but with the rise in demand for Figo in the country the company has posted the figures at 10,026 units over the same period in 2011.

Ford India said in a statement that company has managed to reach the milestone of 10,000 units of monthly sales after beating the previous monthly record of 9,478 units sold in March 2010.

Figo was launched in March 2010 and since then Figo has gained lots of demand in the Indian market and alone 8,600 units of Figo has been sold in January.

In 2010, Ford India has recorded jump of 184% in sales, taking the sales figures to 83,887 units.

Ford India has established its manufacturing plant in Maraimalai Nagar, where it employs more than 5,000 persons. Endeavour, Ikon, Fiesta and the Figo are the brands which are manufactured in this plant.

Last year in January Company has sold 2,453 units, whereas in January, 2011 records the best monthly sales of 10,026 units till date.
