Washington - Five US soldiers were killed during a shooting Monday at a base in Baghdad, the US military said in a statement.

The incident took place at Camp Liberty inside the Iraqi capital at about 2 pm local time, the statement said.

The statement did not provide details, but said the shooting was under investigation. (dpa)
