It was the novel concept of Joan Goodchild, senior editor of CSO (Chief Security Officer) Online who states that marketing efforts by a company hinders with the account holders' privacy bringing mayhem, reports CBS News.

The five potential risks which come with sharing of information are; sharing your information with third parties, privacy settings lessened with each redesign, ads to contain malware; friends make you vulnerable and a risk of fake profile from scammers.
