The US rapper Kid Cudi was arrested and charged with criminal charges in the New York City in US. Sources have said that the rapper was arrested with charges of criminal possession and criminal mischief of a controlled substance.

However the rapper is still able to perform at the Bonnaroo Music and later in the Art Festival in Tennessee.

Kid Cudi was at the ninth position in the upcoming music talent poll 'Sound of 2009'. Later he has also signed to Kanye West's team. He has joined the team and supported him on his tour.

Kanye West had a big hit with his club remix named "Day 'n' Nite" with him and then released his debut album "Man on the Moon" last year. This release was a huge success as well and had reached to number four positions in the US album chart. Kanye West has said that the Cleveland native rapper is a very talented and young upcoming music talent.

He was also co-star in the television comedy series "How to Make It In America" on HBO.
