Facebook might invite trouble with location tagging feature
Facebook has cleared off the air for the usage of geo-tagging feature stating that it is optional and won't raise any trouble.
Earlier, Facebook was entangled in a heap of issues pertaining to privacy. So now it has to avoid the same scenario that might arise from the yet to be released feature - geo-tagging.
Geo-tagging helps in finding the location of friends and peers. Michael Richter, Facebook's Deputy General Counsel, said that the amendments made in the feature of geo-tagging seek the user's permission. This means users always have an option not to share the information.
The other information related to the permission for pre-approved third party Web sites and applications allows the users to stay connected on a common third-party platform and can share information on personal will.
These and some more intend to keep the site out of trouble.
