Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, will commence its service to Alexandria in Egypt from this month.

The new service, which is subject to government nod, will function every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from Abu Dhabi to El Nouzha airport in Alexandria.

James Hogan, Etihad Airways chief executive, said, "Etihad is pleased to announce this new service to Alexandria, Egypt's second largest city."

The new service will provide travellers convenient onward connections through Abu Dhabi to lots of key destinations across the airline's worldwide network, which comprises Australia, China, Japan and the Indian sub-continent. (With Inputs from Agencies)
