England decides to bat first in fifth test
England skipper A Strauss won the toss and elected to bat first against Australia in the fifth and final test match of the Ashes test series at the Oval on Thursday. The Ashes series in now leveled with one win each and both team will be giving their best to win this decider test match.
England got to a bad start as they lost the wicket of A Cook (10) with just 10 runs on the board. England team scores stood at 108 runs for loss of one wicket at the lunch with Strauss and P Collingwood present at the crease.
England team is playing without their star batsman Kevin Peterson, who was ruled out of the match due to injury. However, English team got the boost with the return of all-rounder Andrew Flintoff in the squad.
