Emotional Jennifer Hudson wins hearts and gong at Grammy’sWashington, February 9: An emotional Jennifer Hudson moved the crowd with her tear-jerking performance and win at the 51st annual Grammy Awards.

The singer bagged the trophy for her self-titled debut in the best R&B album category, while remembering her murdered family in her speech.

"Thank God, who brought me through. I''d like to thank my family in heaven - and those who are here today," People magazine quoted her as saying.

The `Dreamgirls' actress expressed her gratitude to fiancé David Otunga for lending his shoulder during the tragic ordeal.

The Oscar-winner further went on to earn herself a standing ovation for her power ballad "You Pulled Me Through."

She sang: "I was in the darkness. I was out in the cold. You reached out your arms to me ... pulled me back from the edge." (ANI)
