Eleven Australians make it to the billionaire’s listEleven Australian businessmen have made it to the list of Forbes list of the top billionaires for 2009.

The list has ten businessmen, who are citizens of Australia and has Rupert Murdoch, who is now a citizen of US.

The list includes the names of top 100 billionaires, who have been short listed after considering 1,011 billionaires across 55 countries.

In that, the total worth of top billionaires was $342 billion, in which the total worth of the Australians came out to be $32 billion.

In that too, one fifth of the total amount under consideration belongs to Rupert Murdoch.

Others in the list included Andrew "Twiggy" Forrest, the mine owner from West Australia. His total worth came out to be $4.1 billion. Frank Lowy, James Packer, Harry Triguboff, John Gandel, Gina Rinehart, Lindsay Fox and Gerry Harvey also made it to the list.

Solomon Lew stood at 937 with his wealth coming out to be $1 billion.

Kerr Neilsen and Michael Hintze were also included in list of Australians. Hintez is the hedge fund manager and Neilsen is the founder of Platinum Asset Management.
