Dropbox to host its first developer conference on July 9th

Dropbox to host its first developer conference on July 9thDropbox, a well-known Cloud storage company, has announced that it would host its first developer conference on 9th of July at Fort Mason in San Francisco.

The developer conference, which is being DBX by the company, will be used as a source to promote the Dropbox Platform.

Dropbox said in a blog post that the event would allow developers to meet other developers, engineers and designers, and share their ideas.

The blog post reads, "At DBX, you'll meet fellow developers, see the great things they're building, and share ideas with the engineers and designers working on Dropbox's API."

The company also announced that the event would allow developers to learn about the company's new products that would make developing on Dropbox a lot easier.

Tech giants like Microsoft and Apple use their respective developer conferences to create enthusiasm and introduce new products. Dropbox's first conference is not expected to enjoy that level of fanfare, but this will definitely provide developers with an opportunity to get insight into the Cloud platform direct from the Dropbox team.

The Cloud storage service provider has required developers to request an invite and wait to hear from the company if they have been accepted to attend the conference. The company will charge $350 per attendee.

The popularity of Dropbox is on the rise. Just last month, Dropbox hit a deal with Internet search firm Yahoo to have its services integrated into Yahoo Mail.
