After a flood of rockers, Shillong has turned into the location for a ‘Bollywood’ movie starring the evergreen superstar Dharmendra, romance lover Shiney Ahuja and sparkling beauty Preity Zinta.

Dharam ji, Zinta and Ahuja were in Shilliong for shooting Jahnu Barua’s new film ‘Har Pal’.    

Preity acts a local girl in this picture, which is created by Nav Jeevan Films. She declined to reveal more about her new role.

But she told about her shooting experience in the gorgeous sites of the Meghalaya capital and its matrilineal system.

Preity said, “It is really impressive to see that women are being respected here. Their position here can be termed as the best.”

She named Meghalaya as the 'Scotland of the East', but questioned why Bollywood movies were not shot here often in place of Kashmir or Himachal Pradesh.

For the past he-man Dharmendra, it was Shillong’s calm impression that invoked.

Dharmendra hoped the movie would help in promoting the city as a traveler spot and a lasting site for shooting films.
