Delhi’s Airport Metro Express Rocks!
Delhi Airport Metro Express, which was launched six-month-back, has proved success as 15,000 commuters are using it on daily basis. However, in the last six months about 15 lakh people have traveled by it.
The Delhi Airport Metro Express makes the journey of commuters enjoyable, who are travelling from Connaught Place to the swanky new Terminal-3 of the Indira Gandhi International Airport, in just 20 minutes.
The Express was launched for the first time on 23rd February, 2011. Initially the service was available for 16 hours but now its services have been extended to 18 hours. It has been revealed that among its commuters 70% use to each to airport while 30% are using it to travel locally.
At the time of its launch, there were only 4,000 commuters but with its growing demand the commuter has increased by manifold. There are about six stations in operation out of them two station has check-in facility.
Pass facility is also being provide to its commuters. It has been reported that most of the Dwarka commuters are using the passes to travel. There is no doubt that the introduction of the Metro Express has eased up the lives of millions.
