Delhi Airport becomes world’s first airport to get global risk management certification
Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL) has become the world's first airport to get Business Software Alliance (BSA) Certification in Standards-based Software Asset Management (SAM) for Organisations.
The program called CSS(O) is the first and only enterprise-level certification that verifies that the receiver is compliant with its software license accords and that its SAM processes are in line with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) SAM standard.
In simple words, the BSA certification make certain accurate and timely display of flight information, trouble-free process of baggage checking, secured Wi-Fi usage, ability to deter malware and pirated software.
In short, it ensures preventions of any security breaches and includes each and every IT-related solution that a passenger wants at the airport.
DIAL CEO Prabhakara Rao said, "We are extremely excited to mark another milestone by adopting world-class software asset management practices, which helps us improve safety, efficiency and other pertinent parameters for stakeholders."
Earlier, DIAL became the world's sixth airport to secure the ISO 20000 certification for removing and controlling IT-related threats.
