David Jones resigns following ongoing investigation
Investigations by the financial regulators pushed Northern Rock CFO David Jones to step down from his position.
He was the last member of the old board who left the nationalized bank on Wednesday following the city watchdog's investigations into mortgage figure manipulation.
Earlier last week, FSA fined and banned two former Northern Rock executives David Baker and Richard Barclay for manipulation of 2,000 mortgage loans. Both were asked to pay a sum of £644,000 together.
While Baker was fined £504,000, Richard Barclay is fined £140,000.
David Jones, who served the bank for 14 years, was the Deputy Finance Director before becoming the Financial Director in February 2007, the same year when the bank plunged into crisis.
Huge Grahm, the Head of the company's treasury operations was named as the interim Chief Financial Officer.
