Etawah (UP), Mar 13 : Five members of a Dalit family, including two women, were shot dead in Ameenbad village in Uttar Pradesh's Etawah District early this morning.

''A Dalit family was attacked early this morning with a rifle. This appears to be a case of personal enmity,'' said SRS Aditya, SSP, Etawah.

The incident took place when some attackers entered house of the family on Wednesday night and opened fire.

According to a five-year-old girl, who escaped, the attackers had covered their faces with blankets.

According to the police, a land dispute seems to have led to the massacre. (ANI)
