Collingwood, Anderson rested for fourth ODIEngland has decided to rest all-rounder Paul Collingwood and fast bowler James Anderson for next three and two ODI matches against Australia respectively in the ongoing NatWest Series.

England is trailing by 3-0 in the seven ODI match series and they will have to win next ODI match to keep their hopes alive in the series. The fourth ODI match between England and Australia will be played tomorrow at the Lords.

Both players have not missed even a single ODI match from February this year. Collingwood will join team in the seventh and final match of the series at Chester-le-Street while Anderson will return in sixth encounter at the Trent Bridge.

English team will leave for Champions Trophy on September 21 and this rest will help these players to combat fatigue due to continuous cricket. Collingwood will also play for Delhi Daredevils in T20 Champions League which will kick off from 8th October.
