Centre to select new chiefs for ONGC, BPCL and IOCThe government has informed that it will soon select the new chief of the major oil firms of the country. In a statement, the government has said that soon it will start the process of selecting the chairmen and managing directors of the companies.

The companies include Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) and Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL).

As per the schedule the head of these organizations are retiring in the coming year. The government has informed that the Public Enterprise Selection Board (PSEB) has been assigned for the duty of selection of the future CMD of these companies.

It will hold interviews on 29th of October for the selection of CMD of ONGC. Current Chairman and Managing Director of ONGC, Mr. R. S. Sharma is retiring on 31st January 2011.

On 29th of September this year, The PSEB will conduct interviews for the selection of the new Chairman of Indian Oil Corporation (IOC). For BPCL, it will hold interviews on 28th of September.
