Subex launches ‘RapidRM Mobile Solution’ in the market

Subex Limited, a provider of operations and business support systems, has announced the launch of RapidRM Mobile Solution for cellular phone service operators.

RapidRM is a compact revenue management solution to help growing operators rapidly develop revenue management capabilities and realize immediate return on investment (ROI).

According to the company, the newly launched solution will not only assist operators to rapidly achieve superior revenue management capabilities, but also earn immediate ROI, via quick automation of revenue assurance and fraud management processes.

BSNL to share its network with private telecom companies for roaming agreement

State-owned telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) has informed that it has decided to share its network with private telecom companies for roaming agreements, which will enable subscribers to enjoy seamless connectivity throughout the country.

The decision to permit intra-circle roaming was taken at a recent management committee meeting held in Delhi.

The memorandum of understanding (MoU) in this regard is expected to sign with the seeking operators initially for six months, only on non-exclusive and experimental basis. The company will sign the first roaming agreement with new telecom operator Swan Telecom.

Cabinet Relaxes FM Radio Ownership Norms

The Union Cabinet relaxed the norms for the FM radio transmission in the country. The government allowed the private radio operators to set up subsidiaries. The companies are also allowed to transfer the shares through mergers and demergers.

I&B Minister Priyaranjan Dasmunsi told reporters after the Cabinet meeting that the government has revised the FM rules and the new rules would help companies to expand radio market.

MTNL Moving Ahead With Its Trials Of 3G Spectrum In The Capital

By the end of this month, trials of 3G services, would be conducted by the state owned PSU, MTNL Moving Ahead With Its Trials Of 3G Spectrum In The CapitalMTNL in the national capital and further in December, the commercial launch of the same would take place. By the early months of the next year, the services would be available in Mumbai.

The initial 3G trials of MTNL will take place in the Connaught Place area. The core equipment necessary for the services has been acquired by the company and presently it is working on mobilizing the radio equipment.
