Indian Government flags green signal to guidelines of IPTV Services

IPTVThe Indian government has finally approved new guidelines for the provision of IPTV services, which will allow broadcasters to provide content to IPTV service providers across the country.

Apart from this, the cabinet also approved an amendment to policy guidelines for the down-linking of television channels, which will allow IPTV operators to demand that broadcasters provide them with content at par with cable and satellite TV operators.

Northgate Technologies arm acquires Reuter’s UK data centre infrastructure

NNorthgate Technologies LimitedNorthgate Technologies Limited, e-commerce and online advertisement solutions provider, has informed that its wholly-owned subsidiary named Axill Europe Ltd, has acquired Reuter's London (UK) based high end data centre infrastructure, for undisclosed amount.

The data centre with over 8000 sq feet area is located at a close proximity to company’s existing server farms in London which is the Global hub for all internet based services.

Mold Tek to acquire two US-based KPO firms

Mold-Tek Technologies LimitedHyderabad based Mold-Tek Technologies Limited has informed that it will acquire 100% stake in two engineering Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO) companies namely US-based RMM Global LLC and its associate company technet Engineering Services, Thane.

However, the company did not disclose the value of the deal.

Both the companies are involved in providing structural engineering KPO services to high rise buildings in USA with annual revenues pegged at $ 2 million.

Reliance Big TV is a wholly owned subsidiary of Reliance Communications, which has now entered in the home entertainment field.

The service would be available on the latest MPEG4 Direct-to-Home (DTH) platform with high picture quality.

Available in 6,500 towns, the DTH service will initially broadcast over 200 channels with digital quality picture and sound.
