Cybernet-SlashSupport begins new IT services facility in ChennaiCybernet-SlashSupport (CSS), the company providing tech support, software testing and development and remote infrastructure management (RIM) services, has opened a new IT Services facility in Chennai.

The facility is located on a leased 2-acre infrastructure at MEPZ, near Tambaram, Chennai.

CSS, which employs around 5,000 professionals, also has an offshore facility in Coimbatore. The company has two facilities in the U. S., a near shore facility in Poland and a redundancy centre in Singapore.

I&B Ministry Bans New Axe Deodorant Ad On TV Channels

The information and broadcasting (I&B) ministry has prohibited the ‘transmission or I&B Ministry Bans New Axe Deodorant Ad On TV Channelsretransmission’ of new ‘Axe Dark Temptation Deodorant’ advertisement with immediate effect on all broadcasting platforms by Monday, 25 August.

The offensive new Axe deodorant ad had been found to be ‘indecent, vulgar and suggestive.’

The I&B ministry requested the Indian Broadcasting Foundation (IBF) to warn its member channels not to air any ads with indecent theme(s), which includes the new Axe advertisement also.

The starting of 2009 will see all of DreamWorks Animation SKG Inc’s films in next Tie Up Between Intel And Dream Works To Produce 3-D Films generation 3-D.

The chief executive of DreamWorks Animation, Jeffery Katzenberg, informed in an interview, “This is the next innovation for the movie industry. It impacts how we make our movies, how movie theaters present our films and how audiences experience our films.”

On Wednesday, at Intel’s Developer Forum in San Francisco, a 3-D movie image brand named InTru 3D was announced by Katzenberg's DreamWorks Animation and No. 1 chipmaker Intel Corp.

Govt Approves News Internet Rules

The policy framework for the commercial rollout of Internet Protocol TV, or IPTV has been cleared by the government today and additionally an announcement for necessary changes to downlinking guidelines for TV channels was also made.

Presently, the broadcasters can only share their channels for the cable and direct-to-home platforms under downlinking. The new amendment made by the government will let the broadcasters to share channels with the IPTV platforms too.
