Aston Martin planning world's most expensive car

Aston MartinGaydon, England - Aston Martin has released scant details and sketches of its new super car codenamed One-77 that will sell for at least 1.3 million euros excluding tax (1.95 million dollars), making it the most expensive car on the market.

Each of the 77 limited edition Aston Martins will be tailored to the individual buyer and the engineers and designers will work out the exact specifications with the future owner.

All-new Fiesta rolls off production line in Germany Cologne, Germany - Volume production of the all-new Ford Fiesta has begun at the Cologne plant in Germany after the vehicle celebrated its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show in March this year, the car maker has announced.

The new Fiesta, which features the kinetic design of the Mondeo, S-Max and Galaxy, will go on sale in Germany in October. Ford said it had invested around 455 million euros (670 million dollars) in modernizing the Cologne plant that will at full capacity produce 1,900 Fiesta per day in three shifts.

New Mazda 3 to be unveiled at Paris Show

Mazda 3Tokyo - Mazda will unveil the new Mazda 3 at the Paris Motor Show in October with the Japanese manufacturer releasing sketches by its chief designer Kunihiko Kurisu.

The pictures reveal a more aggressive design than the predecessor model with side vents on either side and "teardrop" headlights. The wheel arches are also bigger. The taillights are similar to the Mazda 6.

A four-door version is expected to debut at the Los Angeles Motor Show in November, while a five-door hatchback is expected to be shown at the Bologna Show in Italy in December.

Audi upgrades luxury class A6

Audi upgrades luxury class A6Ingolstadt, Germany - Audi has announced an upgrade of its luxury A6 class that will be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show prior to the complete makeover scheduled for 2011.

The most visible change to the front are the modified headlamps with LED daylight running lights, restyled single-frame grille, bumpers and air vents.

Slight modifications have also been made to the rear taillights of both the station wagon and sedan. Efficient engines have been added to the drive-train line-up, cutting fuel consumption by about 15 per cent across the whole model range.

Converting a car to LPG saves fuel costs only on high mileage

Munich - As petrol prices soar, more and motorists are considering converting their cars to liquid petroleum gas (LPG).

But owners should check whether they actually clock up enough kilometres to make the high cost of the conversion worthwhile, said Germany's automobile association 
(ADAC).

A test of 50 popular car models showed that a motorist would on average have to travel 51,000 kilometres to make up for the

conversion cost of between 2,000 and 3,000 euros (2,940 to 4,410 dollars), the ADAC said.

Tata Motors today launched its latest Indica Vista in New Delhi, which is being considered Indica Vista Launched In The Capital the new generation among the existing models.

Mr Rajiv Dube, Tata Motors’ president (passenger car business unit), who was extremely happy with the launch reported, “With new technology incorporated into the Vista, virtually nothing but the brand has been carried forward from the old Indica.”
