Buses skid off roads as late snow hits Germany

Germany FlagBerlin - Three buses skidded off German roads Monday as a spring snowstorm made roads slippery in the south of the country.

Two municipal buses ran off the roads in Buchenberg in Bavaria state. A total of 12 people were injured, police in nearby Kempten said. One of the buses slithered down a
3-metre bank and landed on its side, hurting nine out of 10 occupants.

In Untergriesbach, in the same state, seven children and a woman driver suffered cuts when their school bus skidded into a ditch, rolled and came to rest on its wheels again.

"It's amazing no-one was seriously hurt," Bavarian police said. (dpa)
