Bruce Springsteen to headline 2009’s Glastonbury
London, Feb 24 : Legendary rocker Bruce Springsteen is set to headline this year's Glastonbury Festival.
The 59-year-old singer will make his debut in the main Saturday night slot, taken by rapper Jay-Z last year.
"I'm confident this will be one of our best shows ever," the Sun quoted organiser Michael Eavis as saying.
The American singer has also been chosen as the one to headline the Hard Rock Calling event in Hyde Park this summer.
The Dave Matthews Band and The Gaslight Anthem will support Springsteen at the gig on June 28th, and the Hard Rock Calling event will make up part of Springsteen''s latest world tour due to begin in April.
The tour is set to start in America and will conclude in Europe towards the end of May. (ANI)
