In a latest statement from the Federal Communicators Commission (FCC), the regulator is now overseeing the recent run-in between Walt Disney’s ABC network and Cablevision Systems Corp.
 
Oscars coverage was ought to get hindered as ABC pulled its support from New York's Cablevision on the night of the Oscars earlier this month. It was believed that the argument followed the soaring tension over TV distributors’ amount, which one needs to pay for the right to carry the free-to-air broadcast signals of ABC, CBS Corp, News Corp's Fox and NBC, guarded by General Electric Co.
 
Over the list of growing concerns of FCC, most of companies are asking for alteration measures and seek a dispute settlement mechanism.

On this aspect FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski said that the existing framework is 20 years old and it had slowly begun to grow strains. The deadline for submission of comments is April 18.
