BP plans for new way for Gulf of Mexico oil spill

oil-spillBP has said that it had a plan to pump mud into the broken oil well and then try to stop the flow of oil from the well caused by an explosion of a rig in the Gulf of Mexico.

This operation is named as 'top kill'. US is backing BP for the top kill procedure which has not done yet in a such depth of water.

BP has been in tremendous pressure to succeed in this plan after the failure of previous attempts to stop the leakage.

The pressure from US is also increasing as the US is continuously putting pressure on it seems to be in 'no mercy' mood. The BP officials have said that they can not say whether they are going to succeed by this in the top kill procedure. Thousands of barrels of oil have already leaked into the ocean since that accident happened on 21st April.

The Spokesman of BP has said the mud will continue to be pumped in to the well for hours. This top kill procedure is to stop the flow of oil and gas and to kill the well totally by injecting heavy drilling fluids.
