Book your Ola, Uber directly through Google search

New Delhi[India], Oct. 20 : Google has announced that commuters would now be able to book cabs from Ola and Uber straight from the Google search application or the mobile search browser.

Google Maps already had the option of booking Ola or Uber in India, and now, this is being extended to the mobile search bar itself.

The option for ride-booking will show when a user tries to find directions to a place on the mobile search bar.

Google Search app and mobile browser will initiate the request, but to complete the order users must have the requested ride app installed. For instance, if you request an 'Uber to Delhi airport,' Google Search will give you all the details about the ride and redirects you to the Uber app to book the ride.

Google Search's latest update makes it easier to compare rides and go with the cheapest or the quickest one, which saves time for users who would otherwise have to do manual research on Uber and Ola separately.

In case the user doesn't have the Ola/Uber app installed on the device, Google Search will show a link to install the app.(ANI)
