German vehicle manufacturer, BMW global division announced the launch of BMW models with upgraded engines. The new engines will mark a change in driving pleasure of the luxury car with increased horse power, increased mileage (fuel efficiency) and lower emissions.

The upgrade will be available in all models comprising of 3 series, 5 series, 6 series and 7 series. The engines have been upgraded for both petrol and diesel variants. BMW - 5 has five variants in total. Three diesels and two petrol models available currently.

With the installation of new engines, 525d (Series 5) currently generates 204 bhp will generate 218 bhp, 520d will produce a bhp of 184 and 530d will have an output of 258bhp at 4000 rpm.

All the variants will be upgraded but all the x-drive models such as 528xi, 535xi, 550xi, 550xi, 525xi, 530xi, 535xi drive will all continue to be available in four wheel drive and rear wheel drive models. You will always have the choice of choosing between either of them.

Although the news came in from global division of the company, BMW- India is expected to make an announcement soon. Increased mileage will be on a positive tone in India.
