The BMC's disaster management cell has tied up with NGOs and educational institutes to launch a web survey to record and learn from the experiences of those citizens who suffered on November 26, 2008. The data collected will be analysed by experts to improve response mechanisms during such disasters, joint municipal commissioner SS Shinde said.

He said the experiences can be shared by logging on to www.mumbaiVOICES.com.

Activist Teesta Setalvad, who is a part of the initiative, added that people could also call in and narrate their experiences at 3957 1260.
