Blue Bell’s Homemade Vanilla to be back in stores on August 31
On Monday, Blue Bell has announced the return of its Homemade Vanilla in stores. It will be available in the stores on August 31 in different locations. News about the return of one of Texas' favorite frozen treat has set the social media into celebration mode.
The iconic brand is going to return next week in Brenham, Houston and Austin, along with Birmingham and Montgomery, Ala. In Aprile, the brand was removed from the store shelves after a Listeria outbreak. Around 10 people got sick, out of which, 3 lost their lives later on.
In cities, where the Homemade Vanilla is arriving, the ice-cream brand will soon represent ‘phase one’ of a five-phase return to market. As per the company, the ‘top-selling Homemade Vanilla’ flavor is going to return first and other flavors will be revealed after some time.
At present, out of company’s four plants, only Sylacauga, Ala. plant is up and running. On Monday, the company mentioned that all but 16 of their furloughed workers have returned to work. They said that rest of the 16 will return on August 31.
North Texas belongs to ‘phase two’ of the five-phase rollout, but then Blue Bell hasn’t given any information about when the other phases will begin. Blue Bell hasn’t mentioned anything about how much ice cream the Sylacauga plant can crank out.
