Bharti Airtel launches 4G Internet service in Pune

Bharti-AirtelPune in Maharashtra became the third city in India to get access to high-speed 4G Internet on wireless network after Bharti Airtel announced the launch of the post-paid service on Thursday.

Previously, the 4G LTE service was available only in Kolkata and Bengaluru.

Airtel claimed that the speed of the new service would be much higher than the officially recognized 512 Kb/s, and that it would take the broadband connectivity to the next level.

Speaking on the topic, Bharti Airtel consumer Business President K Srinivas added, "The 4G will empower customers with super fast access to high definition video streaming, multiple chatting, instant uploading of photos, rich content and much more."

The company is also offering its 4G customers a free trial offer of its broadband TV plus games-on-demand services.

Four interesting 4G plans have been announced by the company for its consumers in the city of Pune: Break Free, Break Free Max, Break Free Ultra and Break Free Ultimate, which start from Rs 999 a month for 6GB usage.

Break Free Max plan offers 9GB for a basic rental of Rs 1,399, while Break Free Ultra and the Break Free Ultimate plans offers 18GB and 30GB of data for Rs 1,999 and Rs 2,999 respectively.
