Best Buy’s Insignia Flex Android-based tablet likely to cost $239 to $259After releasing quite a few teasers of late about a mystery device, Best Buy has recently unveiled its homegrown Android-based cheap 9.7-inch tablet called the Insignia Flex, which - as per a Reuters report - will likely be priced in the range of between $239 and $259.

Going by the announcement made on the Facebook page of Best Buy's Insignia Flex tablet, the key features of the device will include, besides a 9.7-inch screen, a 1GHz dual-core processor, and a microSD slot; and will boast up to 10 hours of battery life. The tablet will run Android OS version 4.0 `Ice Cream Sandwich.'

Though it is quite evident that Best Buy's Insignia Flex will challenge the market-leading Apple iPad, as well as Google's Nexus 7 and Amazon's Kindle Fire HD tablets, the page did not divulge any details about the tablet's screen type, or about its memory, storage, and wireless configurations.

Nonetheless, with a picture of the Insignia Flex having been released on Best Buy's Twitter page just prior to the tablet's announcement, an unidentified source has made a few additions to the spec-list of the device, saying that it will weigh approximately 1.45 pounds and will also have a camera.

Furthermore, the source also revealed that the Insignia Flex will be available on November 11, exclusively from the Best Buy stores.
