BBC content with NAO, permits for audit
BBC seems to be evolving fast from its errors as the News giant is constantly remolding itself to move out of its mistakes.
BBC, which is a key contributor of news across the world, relies upon ‘money’ for its survival, as it reported further.
The funding, which happens via TV Licence fee, is essentially a TV Tax and in the present situation taxpayers want their money’s worth. This in accordance to the BBC Trust, which is willing to let the National Audit Office (NAO) a right of entry to the accounts of the corporation, is in order to proffer better transparency and efficiency, which was missing in the past.
It also led to one of the BBC Trustees, Jeremy Peat, being assigned with a role of auditor in BBC, who he was thought to be the best suited person for NAO.
