Bajaj Hindusthan net profit declines by 61%The leading sugar producer of the country, Bajaj Hindusthan has declared its fourth quarter financial results for the fiscal year 2009-10. As per the reports its net profit has declined by 61% in the quarter that ended on 31st March,
2010. The net profit of the company was found out to be Rs 31.79 crore for the quarter as compared the same quarter last year.

This year the sales figure for the company was very disappointing and low prices have also affected the net profit of the company. The company had a net profit of Rs 81.39 crore for the same quarter in the preceding fiscal year.

However the total income of the company has risen to Rs 631.95 crore in the January-March quarter. The total income was Rs 515.93 crore in the same quarter in last fiscal. During the quarter the company had sold 14.63 lakh quintal of sugar while it had managed to sell 17.77 lakh quintals in the same quarter last year. This year sugar was sold at an average price of Rs 32.90 per kg as per the company sources.
