Baby walkers by Suntech recalled due to fall hazard
A voluntary recall of Suntech baby walkers due to a fall hazard has been announced by the U. S. Consumer Products Commission.
About 8,400 baby walkers were imported from China by Suntech Enterprises of Commerce, Calif., and sold in New York, Illinois, Texas and California from January 2007 through December 2009 for about $30 each.
The commission further said that the walkers are small enough to fit through open doors and do not have adequate protection to prevent them, and a young child, from falling down stairs.
The baby walkers were sold in blue, pink and green. They are set on four wheels and include a white activity tray and a patterned vinyl seat.
The officials further said that the item numbers for the walkers are WK110 or WK112, which is printed on the packaging.
It was also reported that consumers were advised to stop using the walkers and return them to the retailer for a full refund. (With Inputs from Agencies)
