Vienna - A man in Vienna fell four storeys after mistaking a window for a toilet door early on Wednesday, police reported.

The man and a friend had visited a couple's apartement after a night of drinking. When he did not return from a visit to the toilet, the hosts went looking and discovered him lying on the sidewalk.

The man sustained life-treatening injuries and was flown to a hospital by helicopter. (dpa)
