Areva T&D inks agreement with MSETCL

Areva T&D inks agreement with MSETCLAreva T&D India, leading power generation as well as transmission solutions provider, has announced that it has inked an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) pact with Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Co Ltd (MSETCL).

The sources informed that the company has pumped Rs 900 crore for the agreement.

Areva T&D functionaries stated in a communiqué that as per the terms of the agreement, the company will establish 36 sub-stations in Maharashtra.

The time period for setting up the proposed sub-stations is 3 years. Areva T&D will deliver this project in association with Jyoti Structures.

In a separate release, the company has informed that it has already booked orders for the first 18 substations, worth Rs 360 crore.

Areva will assist MSETCL in upgrading as well as spreading out the transmission and distribution network of the state.
