APDM can review its decision to boycott polls, says Shahbaz Sharif

Lahore, Dec 2: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President Shahbaz Shairf has said that if the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) did not join the All Parties Democratic Movement (APDM) in boycotting the general elections, the alliance would review its decision to boycott.

Shahbaz said that his party was under pressure from its supporters and workers to opt for participating in the polls and the alliance would review its ‘strategy’ after observing the PPP and JUI-F response.

He said his party believed that the restoration of the judiciary was necessary for free and fair polls and democracy in the country, the Daily Times reported.

However, he said that if the APDM’s efforts to unite the opposition in a unanimous boycott did not bear fruit, the alliance could review its decision to boycott, as a fragmented boycott would not yield the desired results. (ANI)
