Anti Sikh riots witness to give statement to CBI in USA two member CBI team is in New York to record the statements of two eyewitnesses of the 1984 anti Sikh riots- Jasbir Singh and Surinder Singh.

It has been learnt that the two men saw the Congress leader Jagdish Singh Tytler lead a mob during the riots, but were unwilling to come to India, fearing for their lives..

On Wednesday, Surinder Singh will give his statement to the CBI in New York. Surinder Singh's lawyer Gurpatwant Singh Pannu said, "Yes, he was questioned about Tytler's role and the answer given by Surinder Singh was that Tytler incited the mob and led the mob that killed 36 inside the Gurdwara."

It is obvious that Congress leader and former Union Minister Jagdish SinghTytler will face a lot of damage due to the testimony of these two men.

Earlier, the two witnesses had refused to come to India as they feared for their lives. It was being insisted by the CBI that the witnesses will have to depose before an Indian court and the agency ensured to give security and bear the cost of travel expenses of the witnesses.

But, the two eyewitnesses criticized the CBI for not conducting a fair trial in the case and accused the agency of protecting Tytler. Prior to this, the country's apex investigating agency has been pulled up for its lackadaisical attitude in probing the cases of anti-Sikh riots of
1984, by a Delhi Court.
