American sex- slaying convict may tell her story on TVAccording to lawyer, an American college student convicted in a sex-charged slaying in Italy may tell her side of the story on television.

The Daily Telegraph reported on Sunday that Luciano Ghirga, an Italian lawyer representing Amanda Knox, 22, of Seattle, said discussions on arranging an interview were under way.

Knox, her boyfriend and a third defendant have been found guilty in the November 2007 slaying of British coed Meredith Kercher, 21. Knox was given a 26-year prison term.

Ghirga said, "There are talks going on with three TV companies, one from America, Italy and Britain but I'm not sure which ones. It's all being handled by the parents and the PR man that they have hired in America, to be honest I am not in favor at all and I would not advise it but they seem to be pretty insistent."

The Knox family has hired Seattle public relations consultant David Marriott, who is involved in the negotiations the U. S. network ABC and the Italian TV company Mediaset, the British newspaper said.

It was also reported by the Telegraph that the identity of the British company involved was not confirmed but it was thought to be an independent film company.

Knox, who is to go to trial June 1 on slander charges for accusing police investigators of hitting her during questioning, is appealing her sentence for murder. She contends there is no proof she was at the scene of the crime. (With inputs from Agencies)
