Air India Receives Its Boeing 787 DreamlinerThe passengers of the Air India will soon be benefited as Air India has received its first Boeing 787 Dreamliner for trial. The plane has already landed at Dwarka airport and will be taken to Mumbai on 13th of July. It has been reported that the plane will be kept in Mumbai for 15 days, for trials and tests.

Air India placed its order of 27 Boeing aircraft in 2005. Soon after two years, Jet Airways also placed its 10 orders. It has been reported that the new and advanced Boeing will be used to take a non-stop flight to North America or Australia.

It is hoped that Air India will be receiving its delivery this year in the month of November. Apart from the 27 Boeing 787s, the order also includes a mix of Boeing 777s and Boeing 737s. The President of Boeing India, Dinesh Keskar, said, “Pilot training for the (Air India) aircraft will begin next month”.

It has come to light that after Japanese airline ‘All Nippon Airways’, Air India would be the second customer to receive advanced technology jet. The All Nippon Airways made an order of 50 planes but Indian Airlines have order only 27 of them.
