Ahmadinejad: Celebrations cannot save "rotten corpse" of Israel

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad Tehran  -  Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Thursday that worldwide celebrations for the 60th anniversary of Israel's foundation could not save this "rotten and stinking corpse," state television reported.

"Those who think that by holding anniversary feasts (they) could save or revive this rotten and stinking corpse are badly mistaken and they should know that their names would be registered in the Zionists' criminal record," Ahmadinejad said.

In a meeting with the newly elected deputies of the Iranian parliament, he once again predicted the imminent collapse of the Jewish state.

Ahmadinejad caused international outrage in the past by hoping for the eradication of Israel, the relocation of the Jewish state to Europe or Alaska and questioning the historic dimensions of the Holocaust. (dpa)
