Acer launches new Liquid E2 smartphone

Acer launches new Liquid E2 smartphoneTaiwanese electronics giant, Acer is planning to launch a new affordable quad-core smartphone called, Liquid E2.

The Liquid E2 comes with a 4.5-inch qHD IPS display with a resolution of 960x540 pixels and will be powered by a strong quad-core CPU clocked at 1.2GHz with1GB of RAM. It will also come with MediaTek MT6589 chipset for enhanced performance and will be only 9.9mm thick and weighs 140 grams including the battery.

Liquid E2 comes with an internal memory of 4GB that can be expanded up to 32G using a microSD card. As for photography, the device features a 8MP AF rear camera with an LED flash and a BSI sensor as well as a 2MP camera on the front for video conferencing. The company claims that the 2000mAh battery of the device offers 9 hours of talk time and up to 450 hours of standby time. The device also supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, FM radio and GPS.

It is believed that the company might launch the new smartphone in May in the UK and Europe. The device is expected to cost around 229 Euros in Europe and will be available in Rock Black and Classic White.
