Two people were killed and about 8 people were injured in a rush at Delhi railway station this Sunday. One child and a woman were on the death list. The stampede occurred when train Sampark Kranti was about to leave at 1450 hours.

The mishap happened at platform no. 12 and 13. Passengers of the train were raising an allegation that without any announcement the platform of the train changes, which lead to the stampede.

Delhi police is now investigating the case. Passengers have complained that the platform numbers of two trains were just changed without any such announcement. This barbarous accident occurred right near the stair case.

Rajan Bhagat, the spokesperson of Delhi Police has confirmed that the woman who was the victim of this stampede is from Bhagalpur Bihar.

All the causalities were transported to Lok Nayak hospital and railway hospitals. Rs 2 lakh each as compensation money will be given to the victim's family.
