Zynga Inc has said it will soon allow gamers to enjoy its popular gaming tiles on its own website instead of social networking websites.

The company has officially launched the Project Z on Thursday that will provide an alternative to Facebook for users who want to play Zynga games. The San Francisco-based company has said that a beta version of the Zynga Platform will allow users to play five games including "CityVille," "Hidden Chronicles," "Zynga Poker," "CastleVille" and "Words With Friends" on its website.

The move does not mean that the company is ending its relationship with Facebook and experts say that the two companies will be working together in the coming future. Zynga accounts for 12 percent of Facebook's revenue and this might be the company's effort to reduce some of the cost.

Zynga is also creating a social network on top of the Facebook network called, superset that will allow gamers to connect to other gamers who are not in their social circles. The gamers will be able to have game-based social interactions on Zynga. com and avoid the need to use Facebook completely.

It is to be seen if Zynga is able to attract enough gamers to its site and avoid Facebook. The success of the service will determine the future relationship between the two companies whose future appears to be interlined in the coming future.
