Wood piece of Sir Isaac Newton’s apple tree to be taken to the space
An original piece of wood of the tree from which the apple fell and inspired the theory of gravity is all set to be being carried to the space in the next space shuttle mission of NASA.
The wood piece is from the original tree and from this the apple felled and Sir Newton seeing the falling apple has been inspired to produce his theory of gravity.
Moreover the wood piece is a part of the 350th anniversary of the Royal Society. The sample of that wood piece will be taken as an image or landmark of Sir Isaac Newton and it will be donated by the Royal Society.
The sample will be handed over to the astronaut Dr. Piers Sellers. He is a British astronaut who is going to carry the sample to the orbit in the space.
On 14th May, the space shuttle will start its mission to the space. It is going to be a mission of the 12-day mission and is expected to be NASA shuttle's last mission.
